it snowed on the top of the volcano this weekend. the neighbors drove up and brought some snow back to the beach. the kids had such fun!

how to mke your own tree

i wnted to save on money so we made our own tree out of paper. the kids had so much fun decorating the house that i think this is our new favorit tradition...all these memories only cost me $8.

thanksgiving

this was my first thanksgiving away from home. i was feeling a little home sick as the big day was getting closer. but in the end it turned out to be such a great day. scottie was here for the week, we went to the beach at dawn, to a long nap and i made my first turkey that turned out good. so sorry guys, i am not coming back to arizona. I LOVE HAWAII!!!!!

another priceless moment by lola

so many of you know my very outspoken daughter lola personally. so this story wont surprise you at all. last night we went to the beach park by our house for a late swim. it was getting dark and all the local neighbors were there for some saturday night fun. ive had a hard time fitting in and finding friends here mostly because were not hawaiian and new. it was alot of 20 year olds who started a big bon fire and were playing loud music and it looked like a great time. some of the women started coming over and talking to me and remembering my name so i was so excited. when all of a sudden lola comes running out of the ocean and jumps at my legs. she wraps her arms around my skirt just as she falls down to the ground taking my skirt with her. she had completely depants me infront of everyone. there i was in just my purple underpants. once i heard all the laughs starting, i felt my face turn bright red. she was soaking wet and just layed there on top of my skirt on the ground. i had to roll her away and kick her hard to make her let go of my skirt and then pull it up. all i could do was jump in my truck and drive away as fast as i could. im pretty sure they will remember me now! especialy the people from behind. its so humbling to be lolas mom.

lola gets up in the morning and gets her self ready. she has all the style i always wanted. the only thing i helped her with was puting the pigtails in her hair the way she wanted it. this little girl knows what she wants and gets it. i envy her.
